Apollo Suns is a 9-piece instrumental collective from Winnipeg, Manitoba. The band fuses the influence of jazz, rock and psychedelic music, to create their own unique sounds with the dancefloor in mind. They were awarded “Instrumental Artist of the Year” at Western Canadian Music Awards in both 2018/2020.

The Bishop Boys are a singer/songwriter duo from Windsor, Ontario. Their thoughtful, introspective lyrics create narratives on themes of love, heartbreak, and carefree summer nights. Like their lyrics, their distinctive sound exudes a feeling of warmth, reminiscent of groups like Chicago and The Band.

Bilal Nasser is an award winning classic guitar player and composer. Bilal rejects the academic convention of classical music as he blends classical technique with genres of post-rock and shoegaze to create a new sound he calls “post-classical.” If anyone is able to make classical “cool” it’s Bilal. You’re not going to want to miss this.

Bitters is an alternative folk band from Windsor, Ontario. Fusing influences of 60s and 70s folk with indie rock sensibilities, the band leans into dense harmonies and layered acoustic texture. Bitters is comprised of River Bourque, Jeremy Burke, Cavelle Doucet-lefebvre, Dylan Iannicello, Graham Venney, and Tim Maitland.

As a prolific content creator, you may be familiar with Datsunn from his Twitch streams, his captivating Instagram beat making videos, or his collaborations with major brands like Native instruments, Roland and many more. But no matter how you arrive, Datsunn’s entrancing blend of classic hip-hop, soul and R&B will entice you to stick around. Citing influences that run the gamut from J Dilla to 9th Wonder, Datsunn has perfected an ultra-smooth brand of engrossing eclecticism that is as fresh as it is familiar.

Willowbrook is a rising star in Windsor. They’re only 20 years old but this indie folk singer-songwriter has made a name for themselves in the local music scene and online! TikTok videos have helped Willowbrook reach a global audience with their single “Sweet Diana” being covered by fans and having their songs featured as the choice wedding songs for many walking down the aisle. They are just hitting their stride and we are thrilled to have Willowbrook kick off our series.
